Emmanuel Djoke Dibango was born in Douala, Cameroon. His father Michel Manfred N’Djoké Dibango, who was a civil servant. He also wrote a book which was autobiography “Three Kilos of Coffee”. He had no siblings, but a stepbrother from his father’s first wife.
