Kevin Spacey Fowler popularly known as Kevin Spacey is an American actor and producer. He has won two Academy Awards, two Tony Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as twelve Primetime Emmy Awards.

He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999 and was named an honorary Commander and Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Spacey’s first film roles were in Mike Nichols’ “Heartburn” (1986) and “Working Girl” (1989). He rose to prominence as the villain in the crime thriller films “Se7en” and “The Usual Suspects” in 1995.

He won his second Academy Award for his performance in Sam Mendes’ midlife crisis drama “American Beauty” (1999). Among his other credits are the films “Pay It Forward” (2000), “Beyond the Sea” (2004), “Superman Returns” (2006), “Margin Call” (2011), and “Baby Driver” (2017).

From 2004 to mid-2015, Spacey was the artistic director of the Old Vic theater in London, where he received the Laurence Olivier Award for the Society of London Theater Special Award.

In 1986, he co-starred with Jack Lemmon in the Broadway revival of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s “Journey into Night.” He won a Tony Award for his performance in “Lost in Yonkers” in 1991.

Spacey played Frank Underwood in the Netflix political drama series “House of Cards,” for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama and two Screen Actors Guild Awards in a row.

He’s also known for his role as Ron Klain in the HBO film “Recount” (2008), for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. That same year, he received an Emmy nomination for his work on the HBO film “Bernard” and “Doris.”

In October 2017, actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making a sexual advance on him when he was 14 years old in 1986.

Other men claimed Spacey had made unwanted advances as well as sexually harassed and assaulted them. Netflix dropped Spacey, canceling his film “Gore” and removing him from the final season of “House of Cards.”
