David Tennant’s Son Ty Tennant Play in ‘House of the Dragon’

With a fresh cast of actors playing characters like Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, House of the Dragon is undergoing a major transition in its sixth episode.

After the time leap, Milly Alcock and Emily Carey are replaced as Princess Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively, by Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke. However, a number of new actors are joining the ensemble to fill a variety of important roles.

Ty Tennant is one such actor who will be playing a pivotal role; fans will be familiar with the performer thanks to the actor’s well-known father, David Tennant.

Tennant will appear in Episode 6 of the series as Aegon Targaryen, Alicent Hightower’s oldest child with King Viserys I. (Paddy Considine).

In George R. R. Martin’s novels, Alicent campaigns for her son Aegon to succeed to the Iron Throne rather than Princess Rhaenyra, King Viserys’ heir, which sparks the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons that almost brought an end to the Targaryen dynasty.

As Aegon will continue to play a key part in the fantasy series, Tennant will play a significant role in House of the Dragon.

The fans’ memories of Ty Tennant’s debut appearance in House of the Dragon episode six are not going to fade anytime soon.

Prince Aegon Targaryen II is portrayed in the Game of Thrones prequel series by David Tennant’s son, the star of Doctor Who.

Ty is seen masturbating outside while standing on his windowsill in only his second episode on the show.

His mother, Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), enters at that somewhat uncomfortable moment.

One Twitter user who witnessed the incident wrote: “I will say that Ty Tennant sure did make an impressive first impression as Aegon” in response to the incident.

Others commented that they found it unsettling to see the scene because Ty’s role should be 14 years old. The actor is 20 years old.
