Biography of Carmella

Carmella is an American professional wrestler, Dancer, and Model. She is a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She performs the WWE under the ring name Carmella; her real name is Leah Van Dale.

Carmella joined WWE in June 2013 and debuted on the main roster in July 2016 on SmackDown. The first women’s “Money in the Bank” ladder match was won by Carmella in June 2017. In October 2014, Carmella agreed to serve as Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady’s manager.

When Carmella defeated Charlotte Flair to capture the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in April 2018, she made history by becoming the first woman in WWE history to successfully cash in her Money in the Bank opportunity.

She won both the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal and the WWE 24/7 Championship in 2019. She allied with Queen Zelina in November 2021 and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after being selected by Raw as part of the 2021 Draft.
