Rachel Matthews was born on October 25 1993, the eldest daughter of actress Leslie Landon and Brian Matthews. She got inquisitive about acting at an early age by looking at movies and her mother Leslie. She attended voice classes and local theater program at age 10.
Rachel Matthews continued to pursue her acting at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. In college, Matthews became buddies with fellow actress Camila Mendes, who become her roommate when she moved to Los Angeles, and musician Maggie Rogers, who featured both in her track video “Give a Little”.
